Ending the first year at Pebblebrook
Spring semester turned out to be much better than fall semester was for me. My schedule was better and that made a huge difference. My preps were reduced from four to three and I was lucky to be paired with Mr. Phinizy, a very good team teacher, for three of my classes. His experience and support proved very helpful. Happy Halloween
Unfortunately, Meg and I did not compete in the Triathlon Oct. 5. We tried to register two weeks before the race, but we found the race was already full! We plan to run a 10k with Meg’s brother and sisters on Nov. 22, but we haven’t been running much.
School has been stressful. My AP and honors classes are going well, but the “on level” classes have been discouraging...

First month of school
Things are going okay, but the new school is tough. Overall, the environment is much more chaotic than I’m used to, but I’m adjusting to a new “normal”. My AP classes are great and they’re very small (the largest is only 15 students), however, the regular-level classes are a big challenge. New School 8/1/08
New teachers reported last week, so no more sleeping in!
So far things are good at Pebblebrook. I’ve met some of the leadership and people I’ll be working with and they seem like they’ve got their act together. First day we were greeted with a breakfast of chicken biscuits! Fried chicken for breakfast is surprisingly popular here.

Catching up
Finally, I’m starting to update the blog and I’d like to review a few of the events of the past month or so.
